GRADING CRITERIA

Aaron Donald must be objectively the best player on both teams in the Super Bowl matchup, and must be the primary reason his team wins (or loses, depending on interpretation).

OUTCOME
PARTIALLY TRUE
The Rams won Super Bowl LVI 23-20 over the Bengals, and Aaron Donald was widely credited as the true game-changer — posting two sacks, three QB hits, two tackles for loss, and most critically, the game-sealing pressure on Joe Burrow on fourth-and-1 with under a minute remaining. However, the official Super Bowl MVP was awarded to Cooper Kupp, who caught 8 passes for 92 yards and two touchdowns including the go-ahead score. Donald was arguably the most impactful defensive player and many writers called him the 'real MVP,' but Kupp's offensive heroics were what the voters rewarded.
