THE TAKE
I'm going to pick the Eagles over the Chiefs. I like Jalen Hurts. He had an opportunity to beat the Chiefs when he saw them in the Super Bowl two years ago. He played a phenomenal game. He just had one mishap on the fumble. But I feel like he's going to redeem himself. Jalen Hurts drives up the field, Saquon Barkley on the sideline catches it with his feet in bounds and then goes out of bounds. Then the Eagles kick the last-second field goal to win the game.

GRADING CRITERIA

The take is TRUE if: (1) the Philadelphia Eagles defeat the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, AND (2) the Eagles win via a late game-winning field goal. The specific play sequence involving Hurts driving the field and Barkley making a sideline catch is a bonus detail but the core claim resolves on Eagles winning the Super Bowl with a late field goal as the deciding score.

OUTCOME
PARTIALLY TRUE
The Eagles did beat the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, fulfilling the core prediction — and Jalen Hurts was indeed named Super Bowl MVP and delivered a redemption performance. However, the game was not close at all; the Eagles won 40-22 in a dominant blowout, with the game decided long before the final minute. There was no late game-winning field goal, no last-second Saquon Barkley sideline catch to set one up — instead the Eagles built a 24-0 halftime lead and cruised to victory, with Barkley actually underperforming (57 rushing yards).
