OUTCOME
CONFIRMED FALSEBroussard's take on June 9 was that Brunson was the Finals MVP frontrunner and KAT had fallen out of the race. In reality, the opposite was true at that time: KAT was atop the NBA.com Finals MVP Ladder and CBS Sports ranked Towns as the leader with his defensive work as 'the separator.' Brunson did ultimately win Finals MVP unanimously after dropping 45 points in a Game 5 clincher, but KAT was very much in — and leading — the MVP conversation on June 9, directly contradicting the prediction.
