THE TAKE
Not sure what Caleb Williams has to do to prove himself to some people, but I’ve seen enough. 7 fourth quarter comebacks and fell just short on two others!
Question was will you be surprised if he outplays Matthew Stafford, & my answer is absolutely not. Matthew is one of them ones. Caleb is too! This Rams defense is getable on the back end. I expect Caleb Williams to see just how getable they are!

GRADING CRITERIA
TRUE IF
Caleb Williams posts superior passing stats compared to Matthew Stafford in the game (higher passer rating, more passing yards, or more touchdowns with fewer interceptions) AND the Bears' offense successfully moves the ball through the air against the Rams' secondary (250+ passing yards for Williams). Take is
FALSE IF
Stafford clearly outperforms Williams statistically or if Williams struggles against the Rams defense.

OUTCOME
PARTIALLY TRUECaleb Williams finished with 257 passing yards and 2 TDs but also threw 3 interceptions, giving him a lower traditional passer rating (59.3) than Stafford (67.4), though advanced metrics like ESPN QBR (72.2 vs 31.6) and PFF grading (65.8 vs 42.2) favored Williams. Williams just barely cleared the 250-yard threshold, but the 3 interceptions — including the game-killing pick in OT — undermine the 'outplayed Stafford' claim in any conventional sense. The Bears lost 20-17 in overtime on a walk-off field goal.
