ARIGHT

SHAI GILGEOUS-ALEXANDER: BEST PLAYER ON THE PLANET. NOBODY MORE CLUTCH.

SGA won his second consecutive NBA MVP award in a landslide with 83 of 100 first-place votes, was a unanimous All-NBA First Team selection for the fourth straight year, won the Clutch Player of the Year award, and led the NBA with 175 clutch points — all fully satisfying the resolution criteria. Every single condition for a TRUE verdict was met.

WORST TAKEMAY 8, 2026
FWRONG

The Timberwolves should not fear Victor Wembanyama because he is still only half a player

The Spurs defeated the Timberwolves in six games, with San Antonio winning the series 4-2 and outscoring Minnesota by 97 points across the series. Wembanyama posted 19.8 PPG and 12.0 RPG in the series per NBA.com, set an NBA single-game playoff record with 12 blocks in Game 1, and delivered a 27-point, 17-rebound, 5-assist, 3-block performance in Game 5. The Spurs advanced to the Western Conference Finals largely on the strength of Wembanyama's dominant two-way play, directly contradicting the 'only half a player' narrative.

PENDING

Darryn Peterson, 25 and 12 assists vs Boozer’s Griz last night. Most assists he had at KU: 4! As I said before the draft, DP will be the best player in this class, a better pro than he was in college for Self.

Awaiting result — this take gets a grade once it resolves.

Without DWade, Kyrie and AD, LeBron would be 0-10 in Finals. Without Ray Allen, he would now be 3-7.

No surprise: SGA wins a back-to-back MVP with an even better season than he had last year. Also won Clutch Player of the Year with 16 go-ahead field goals in late-and-close games. HE was born with a dominant clutch gene.

Wow, Thunder covered 15.5, winning by 18 even though by SGA's back-to-back MVP standards, he had a bad game (only 18, 7 turnovers). Yet OKC held LA to 90 in large part because OU-ex Austin Reaves shot 3-16 and 0-5 with 4 turnovers. SGA and AR will both play much better in G2.
